About LumoPro

Mission LumoPro is a brand of lighting and studio equipment for amateur and professional photographers. We dedicate ourselves to the production of affordable and high-quality lighting and studio equipment. We strive to manufacture equipment that matches and goes beyond industry standards. We do this within strict budgetary limits so that photographers may put their time and money into what matters, the production of remarkable images. Process LumoPro started in 2004. We spoke with numerous amateur and professional photographers face-to-face, on the phone, and through the Internet. We discussed ways to optimize lighting and studio equipment. We inferred the need of a company that listens to small communities, develops products with their input, innovates ways to manufacture the products, and sells merchandise to photographers at a reduced cost. The most recent outcome of this process is the LumoPro LP120 Shoe Mount Flash. We developed it with the photographic community on David Hobby’s website www.strobist.blogspot.com We talked with many photographers about the current PC Syncro wiring standard, and assessed that the system is not a reliable method of synchronizing a strobe. Accessories with PC syncro interfaces often fall out and loose connection. This is due to loose fittings and very short profile connections. To correct this issue LumoPro makes several 1/8” mini-phone flash cords and accessories. LumoPro also manufactures the only shoe mount flash with a 1/8” mini-phone sync port. This new feature sets a higher standard for reliable synchronization. The flash meets current industry standards as well. The LP120 has fully manual capabilities, multiple synchronization options, a zoom head, 180 degree swivel and tilt, six power variations, and color neutrality at all power settings; all at an affordable cost. At LumoPro we dedicate ourselves to producing more lighting and studio products, like the LP120, that meet the needs of professional and amateur photographers worldwide.
